Symptom:
MCERICOH hangs up when closing the check sum dialog after reading from I/O cards.Solution:
This issue was fixed at the Elan DLL V03-08.
Symptom:
After writing particular firmware files to I/O cards, MCERICOH hangs up.Solution:
The same problem might happen with another files.
Since this can be avoided by using manual card detection, we decided to consider the file specification problem as a limitation.
Symptom:
Once the above problem(No.2) happens, the card programmed with particular binary data never be detected by MCERICOH.
The card will never be reusable as long as MCERICOH is used.
Solution:
This problem was caused by the design of the Ricoh 4MB flash memory cards.
Also this is a source firmware data dependent problem that MCERICOH(Elan DLL) cannot avoid in automatic card detection algorithm.
So we added a manual card detection mode to select a PC card slot to use for programming the flash memory card.

Symptom:
After the card identification process, network connection will be lost.
In certain combinations of the PCMCIA Ethernet cards and host laptop computer, the MCE DLL have identified types of I/O cards with disturbing I/O communication.Solution:
This can be avoided using the manual card detection.4-2
Symptom:
A computer hangs up when MCE access certain types of Ethernet cards.Solution:
This issue was solved in Elan DLL V03-10.
Symptom:
Memory card detection immediately after a read or a write operation caused the laptops with TI PCI-1130/1131 PCMCIA controllers hang-up.Solution:
This issue was solved in Elan DLL V03-11.
Symptom:
When the Elan MCE uses automatic card detection method on the HITACHI laptop(WIndows 98 SE Japanese), which are installed the NetGear FA-410 Ethernet card and a flash memory card RICOH at the same time, the system hangs up.Solution:
This problem happens in automatic card type detection mode.
So the default setting of card detection mode changed from "Automatic" to "Manual".
